African Conservation Tillage Network

African Conservation Tillage Network The African Conservation Tillage Network (www.act-africa.org) promotes the sharing of information and experiences and facilitates the adaptation and adoption of conservation agriculture principles and practices in Africa. ACT is a pan-African, not-for profit organization, involving private, public and non-government sectors, and including farmers, input and machinery manufacturers and suppliers, researchers and extensionists, with an active conviction to promote, support and apply conservation agriculture to ensure viable and sustainable agricultural productivity with minimum negative consequences for the environment. ACT has a wide and rich expert resource base from its membership drawn from 33 African countries. The organization reaches its membership and others, through their 3 sub-regional offices in Harare Zimbabwe (for Southern Africa); Dare es Salaam Tanzania (for East and Horn of Africa) and Ouagadougou Burkina Faso (for West and Central Africa). ACT will lead the project component on knowledge and information sharing (Objective 4).
